Dancing in the dark.Finding lightness through fluid speed, letting my body move faster than my thoughts.
Lately, I’ve been caught in deep reflection—thinking about life, and what needs to be done when loved ones become seriously ill or pass away. No easy answers. November always does this to me, every year.
But this poem by Nayyirah Waheed reminded me of something essential:
“And I said to my body, softly. I want to be your friend.
It took a long breath and replied,
I have been waiting my whole life for this.”
